Portugal Job Seeker Visa

PORTUGAL JOB SEEKER VISA

Portugal is a compact nation situated along the Atlantic coastline of the Iberian Peninsula. It is known for its stunning coastline and rich history, which makes it a popular tourist destination in Europe.

Also, it remains an affordable and attractive travel destination in Europe. Portugal offers a combination of rich history, innovative art, breathtaking scenery, and friendly locals with a laid-back vibe.

The government of Portugal first announced this visa in June 2022 in view of the ongoing skill shortage in the country. This visa allows candidates to enter and stay in Portugal for a period of 3 months, and to actively search for employment. During this time, they are allowed to engage in work-related activities as long as their visa remains valid or until they obtain a residence permit.

If you are not a citizen of Portugal and want to search for a job in the country, you have to show interest in joining the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) which is the Public Employment Service in Portugal.
